Studio617 In the summer of 2009 I was bailing water 24/7/365 due to the real estate crash. During that time I heard a comment ...."Art never goes on sale".... While that may or may not be true depending on the hunger of the artist, those words pushed me towards being more creative at a time when turning to a more stable work seemed far more financially comforting (...yet confining...) Studio617 was a way to utilize creative skills to pay the bills. Fine Art it is not, but it sure is 'fun' Art! Holly joined in on the 'fun' on the design and sales end and we ended up with over 60 unique designs and a heck of a local fan club. The business has been put on hold due to CA relocation and lack of 'need' for the additional income, but it may be back someday! (2009-2012) |
